Risk Disclosure

Important Notice

EVE Exchange is a game-based trading platform. All activity involves ISK, the virtual currency of EVE Online. ISK has no real-world monetary value. Nothing on this Platform constitutes financial advice, investment advice, or a regulated financial service of any kind.

1. Virtual Currency Risk

All trading on EVE Exchange is denominated in ISK. ISK is an entirely virtual, in-game currency. It cannot be converted to real-world money through this Platform. There is no real financial risk in the conventional sense — you cannot lose real money here.

However, ISK acquired in EVE Online represents time and effort spent in-game. The loss of ISK through poor trading decisions represents a loss of in-game wealth only.

2. Price Volatility

Share prices on EVE Exchange can be highly volatile. Prices may rise or fall rapidly and unpredictably, including to zero. Past performance of any listed corporation is not indicative of future results.

You should only invest ISK you can afford to lose entirely.

3. Corporation Risk

Listed corporations are player-run EVE Online organisations. They may:
  • Cease operations at any time
  • Never pay a dividend
  • Provide inaccurate or misleading financial information
  • Be disbanded or war-decced in EVE Online, affecting their ability to operate
  • Have their listing suspended or delisted by EVE Exchange administrators

EVE Exchange does not vet, audit, or guarantee the legitimacy or performance of any listed corporation. All listed information is self-reported.

4. Liquidity Risk

Some listings may have thin order books, meaning you may not be able to buy or sell shares at your desired price, or at all. There is no guarantee of liquidity for any listed corporation.

5. Platform Risk

EVE Exchange is a volunteer-run, fan-made platform. It may:
  • Experience technical outages or downtime
  • Contain software bugs that affect trading or balances
  • Cease operation without notice
  • Be affected by changes to the EVE Online ESI API

In the event of platform closure, we will make a reasonable effort to return all ISK balances to their owners. However, this cannot be guaranteed.

6. No Financial Advice

Nothing on EVE Exchange — including listing descriptions, price charts, earnings reports, announcements, dividends, or any other content — constitutes financial advice. We do not recommend any particular investment. All trading decisions are made entirely at your own discretion.

7. Not a Regulated Exchange

EVE Exchange is not a licensed or regulated financial exchange under any law or jurisdiction. It is a fan-made game tool. None of the investor protections that apply to real-world securities exchanges apply here.
